Appearances & Workshops

Ken presents on creativity with the Oregon Writers Colony in 2018.

Ken is available to speak or perform in a plethora of settings, virtually and in person.  Ken offers both classroom and library abbreviated writing classes as well as broader presentations on the power of creativity, art and science and how to make your childhood dreams come true despite an invisible disability.

He is also a singer/songwriter performing re-imagined covers and mindful originals in bars, restaurants, fairs and other live music venues.  Rural-raised, Ken prioritizes appearances in small town schools and libraries similar to where he grew up and makes those appearances on a sliding scale or as a donation of volunteer hours.  Often, he can find third parties to subsidize his fees or can find ways to maximize his time in your area by integrating other opportunities.

Ken also teaches writing online, via his workshop,  Harvesting Stories from Your Wide Open Life, taking up to 20 participants at a time through his process of finding and fleshing out short stories via small group exercises, individual exercises and Ken’s witty “Trailer Boy” presentation style.  Students also have access to him for ongoing, occasional coaching.  Contact Ken to get on the list for his next class.

Ken brings his writing and music into communities in tandem with the services he offers as a consultant in a part time capacity.  In 2016, Ken launched Facilior Solutions, a consultancy committed to providing DIY empowerment for communities, creatives, organizations, local governments and businesses in the rural Pacific Northwest.
